Compliance & KYC
Every counterparty verified, before any deal moves forward.
Petroleum trading and banking instruments attract fraud. Our compliance process protects our clients, our suppliers and their banks, so that every transaction is with a real, cleared party.
Our KYC / AML process
Six layers of verification.
- 01
Identity verification (KYC)
The authorised signatory's passport or national ID is checked for authenticity, with a liveness check and face match against the document photo.
- 02
Company verification (KYB)
We confirm the company's registration, directors and registered address, and map its ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs).
- 03
Sanctions & PEP screening
Every company, director and beneficial owner is screened against international sanctions lists, politically exposed persons (PEP) lists and adverse media.
- 04
Risk review & decision
Results are combined into one risk assessment. Unclear cases go to manual review; we only proceed when a counterparty is cleared.
- 05
Ongoing monitoring
For term contracts, counterparties are re-screened during the relationship, so changes in sanctions status are picked up.
- 06
Audit trail
Every check and decision is recorded with date and reviewer, giving a complete file for banks, inspectors and auditors.

Our checks run on AMT Identify, our group's identity and AML compliance platform. It brings document verification, liveness checks, company and beneficial owner checks, sanctions, PEP and adverse-media screening, and a full audit trail into one case file per counterparty.
